Treasure Ayuba, a student of Bethel Baptist High School, has been freed from captivity after spending two years in the hands of kidnappers.
In a remarkable turn of events, Treasure Ayuba, a student of Bethel Baptist High School, has been freed from captivity after spending two years in the hands of kidnappers.
She was among the students kidnapped by bandits on July 5, 2021, at Maraban Damishi in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The incident involved the abduction of 121 students by armed bandits who stormed the school in the early hours of that fateful day, July 5, 2021 to an unknown destination.
However, 120 out of the abducted students were released after ransom payment, but one student, Ayuba, was left with the bandits even after a ransom was paid for him too.
Arise News yesterday disclosed that Ayuba was released by bandits on Thursday and has been taken to an undisclosed hospital for a medical check-up.
The news platform said that the freed student has been linked with his parents, adding that with the release of Ayuba, all the kidnapped students have regained their freedom so far.
