In the thrilling saga of bureaucratic ascent, only 20 stalwart directors emerged victorious, overcoming the challenges laid before them in the Federal Civil Service’s relentless promotion examination for the esteemed position of Permanent Secretary.

A tale of triumph and tribulation unfolded as these dedicated directors faced the gauntlet, with 65 valiant souls falling short of the cut-off mark.

Amidst the tension, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, the illustrious Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, took the stage to reveal the outcome of this gripping saga.

Her words resonated with the gravity of the occasion as she underscored the pivotal role of meritocracy and integrity in this rigorous selection process.

“It’s not merely a numbers game,” she declared, her gaze penetrating the essence of the matter. “It’s about the quality of these candidates, the shining stars amidst the myriad.

The cream of the crop that will elevate our Civil Service to greater heights.”

In the aftermath, the revelation came that out of the 85 candidates initially beckoned to partake in this odyssey of promotion, a brave quartet opted for the shadows, choosing not to face the crucible of examination, perhaps gripped by the specter of potential failure.

Further illuminating the intricacies of this saga, the Director of Communications, M.A Ahmed, from the esteemed Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, OHCSF, shared additional insights.

He unveiled the criterion for progression, a threshold demanding a minimum of 50% mastery before the aspirants could embark on the next leg of their journey.

As the narrative unfolds, only 20 of these intrepid candidates emerged unscathed, earning the right to delve into the realms of the Information Communication Technology, ICT proficiency test awaiting them in the grand arena of Abuja.

The plot thickens, and the suspense builds as these directors, having weathered the initial storm, prepare to face the technological challenges that lie ahead.

The stage is set for the next act in this captivating saga of professional ascension within the Federal Civil Service.
