President Bola Tinubu has appointed Rinsola Abiola, the daughter of late Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola ,  MKO Abiola , as Senior Special Assistant on Citizenship and Leadership. Rinsola shared the news on social media, revealing that she will be closely working with the leadership of the Ministry of Youth.

As a public relations professional and youth and gender advocate, Rinsola operates at the intersection of politics and civil society.

She is dedicated to promoting civic education, political literacy, and advocating for the enhanced inclusion of marginalized groups in decision-making and governance.

Rinsola, an active member of the All Progressives Congress ,APC, serves as a pioneer member of the party’s youth and women’s wings.

Publisher, politician, and businessman Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola GCFR, better known as M. K. O. Abiola was born in Nigeria. He was an aristocrat of the Egba clan and the honorary supreme military commander of the Oyo Empire.

Additionally, she is a founding member of the party’s young women’s movement and previously served as one of three youth representatives on the party’s Board of Trustees in 2015. In 2022, she made history as the first woman to vie for the APC National Youth Leader position.

Notably, Rinsola is the second child of MKO Abiola to be appointed by President Tinubu since assuming office in May 2023.

Jamiu Abiola, her sibling, was appointed as Special Assistant on Special Duties in September 2023. Jamiu, a polyglot, holds postgraduate certificates from New York University and is proficient in translating multiple languages.

He also serves as the Director of Statutory Compliance and Indigenous Growth at Pilgrims Africa, a global security company.
