In a heartwarming turn of events, the Kaduna State Police Command revealed on Wednesday that three kidnapped victims have been rescued in Kidandan village, Giwa Local Government Area.
The commendable effort was orchestrated by the dedicated operatives of the Command on November 13.
The remarkable rescue unfolded as a result of heightened patrols in the general area, prompting the bandits to abandon their captives. According to ASP Mansur Hassan, the Command’s spokesperson, the victims had been abducted on October 3 while en route to Kano along the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway.
These innocent individuals, held captive for over a month, were finally reunited with their families, marking a moment of relief and joy.
The incident highlights the persistent dangers faced by travelers on the highways, as criminal elements seek to exploit vulnerable situations.
In a recent encounter during patrols, the police team came across a man in distress, bearing the marks of a violent attack. The victim, when questioned, recounted a harrowing experience of being assaulted with a hammer by a passenger who robbed his motorcycle.
This revelation led to a swift and decisive action by the operatives, resulting in the arrest of the suspect in the Bagadaza Dogarawa area, Sabo Garin Zaria LGA.
The police not only apprehended the alleged perpetrator but also recovered a motorbike and the weapon used in the attack.
