Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has refuted accusations of dishonesty regarding his whereabouts, countering claims made by the Osun Chapter of the All Progressives Congress ,APC.
The APC alleged that Governor Adeleke had lied about his location and absconded from the state to evade accounting for his one-year stewardship.
Contrary to the accusations, Governor Adeleke clarified that he had transparently informed the citizens of Osun about his working vacation to Europe and Asia. This vacation marks the first break the governor has taken since assuming office, and he has been committed to ensuring open communication with the public.
In response to the allegations, Adeleke directed the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, to brief the media on the administration’s one-year achievements.
The governor has chosen to forego any celebratory events to conserve state resources, aligning with the challenging economic conditions faced by the citizens.
