Bauchi State governor, Bala Mohammed, has presented a budget of N300.2 billion for the 2024 fiscal year to the State’s House of Assembly for consideration and approval.
Presenting the budget, the governor explained that the proposal is comprised of recurrent expenditure of N121.3 billion and capital expenditure of N178.9 billion.
Mohammed disclosed that the 2024 budget is 48.2% higher than that of 2023.
The governor said the completion of ongoing projects would be prioritised while new ones would be initiated.
He further appealed to the State Assembly to fast-track the passage of the budget to enable the government to quickly commence its implementation
