Bayer Leverkusen forward, Victor Boniface is anticipating his potential debut at the Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, with Nigerian national team.
Boniface made his Super Eagles debut against Sao Tome and Principe in September.
The 22-year-old, barring any unforeseen circumstances, is expected to be included in the Super Eagles’ squad for the biennial competition.
The forward hopes to fulfill a lifetime ambition by representing Nigeria at AFCON 2023.
“It is the dream of every football player from Nigeria to represent their country and win a trophy for the country.
“So, we’re looking forward to the next AFCON”, Boniface told DW.
The tournament is scheduled to be hosted by Cote d’Ivoire from January 13 to February 11.
