In the early hours of today, the news of the death of veteran NTA broadcaster Aisha Bello Mustapha broke the internet.

Triggering an outpouring of condolences and tributes across social media platforms, the news of her passing has left Nigerians saddened, with many expressing their admiration for her professionalism and impact on the broadcasting landscape.

Aisha Bello Mustapha, widely recognized for her distinguished career as a newscaster on NTA Network during the 90s and 20s, served as the former General Manager of NTA Parliament.

Known for her captivating voice and exceptional beauty, she became a role model for aspiring newscasters, leaving an indelible mark on the industry.

Nigerians took to social media to pay their respects, describing Aisha as a model broadcaster and expressing how her presence on NTA News influenced their aspirations.

Tributes highlighted her class, professionalism, and kindness, with many recalling her alongside Chris Sober during the NTA days.

The announcement of her death was made by her family, conveying the message of her passing and sharing details of the funeral arrangements.

The family’s statement expressed their grief and requested prayers for the departed soul.

Aisha Bello Mustapha’s impactful career spanned 35 years, and she retired from active service in May 2022. As condolences continue to flood in from colleagues, friends, and admirers, the broadcasting community mourns the loss of one of its esteemed figures.

The funeral prayer is scheduled to take place at the central mosque in Abuja at 1 pm on Monday, December 11, 2023. May her soul rest in peace.
