Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, better known as Mayorkun, is a phenomenal afrobeats singer. He has criticized fans for expecting gifts for Christmas from him, claiming that it is not their right.

Mayorkun emphasized that the day is only for commemorating Jesus’ birth and nothing else.

The singer responded to several gift requests by posting a video on his Snapchat story.

He went on to accuse Muslims who had joined him in demanding gifts from him of having nothing to do with their religion and the birth of Jesus.

In his words: “Christmas gift should be for Jesus, na una birthday?? Some of y’all are even muslims, make this thing make sense to me biko”.
