The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas has promised that the 2024 budget will be passed on Saturday, December 30, 2023.
He stated this as the House reconvened in plenary, on Tuesday, December 19, 2023

This came as he delivered a message from the Committee on Appropriations to various House committees, instructing them to complete and submit their reports on budget defense by government agencies by 8 p.m. today, December 19, 2023.
Other budget-related activities such as compilation, processing, and harmonization, according to the speaker, would take place in the interim.
