President Bola Tinubu has ordered that the school feeding program be moved from the Humanitarian Ministry to the Education Ministry, following its reintroduction on Thursday, December 21.

Information on the gradual enhancements in the middle ministerial targets between 2023 and 2027 was disclosed by Minister of Education Prof. Tahir Mamman during a one-day workshop.

In a report by The Nation, the President asserts that the relaunch will help address the problems that children who are not in school are facing and will also help address the learning crisis.

Speaking at the retreat, Mamman said that the goal is to create all the policies necessary to solve the issues and to hold various organizations accountable for handling the out-of-school issue.

Recall that the school feeding program was discontinued by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari?
