Rev Dr. Gideon Para-Mallam, President of the Para-Mallam Peace Foundation, has attributed the tragic manipulation of a nine-year-old boy to the attacks that occurred on Christmas Eve in Plateau State.

Para-Mallam claims that the boy was tricked by the heavily armed assailants, which resulted in the horrific massacre that took place in Chirang village, Plateau State, on December 24.

He mentioned that the boy had been promised safety by the attackers if he led them to the village hideout.

Along with sharing her experience as a survivor, Para-Mallam gave journalists access to a statement on Saturday.
Regard Yusuf related how she was tricked into guiding the assailants to her hiding spot by a woman who barely survived the incident after falling into a ditch.

Para-Mallam claims that, “this act of treachery resulted in the murder of 23 women, including Regard and his mother.”

Severe injuries have been reported as a result of the attacks. The statement continued, “A five-year-old girl is also receiving care at JUTH after her hand was brutally severed by attackers, and a three-year-old child lies critically ill in the Jos University Teaching Hospital, JUTH, following a close-range gunshot wound.”
