In a notable achievement, Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has been declared the recipient of the International Peace Prize Medal Award 2023 by the UK-based newspaper, The Nigerian News.

The prestigious award recognizes Governor Fubara’s exemplary leadership, unwavering commitment to democracy, and dedication to the rule of law.

The announcement was made through a statement by David Young, the Chief Executive Officer of TheNigerian News. Young commended Governor Fubara for his outstanding performance and described him as a trailblazer who has demonstrated remarkable qualities in advancing the unity and progress of the people of Rivers State.

The CEO emphasized the governor’s courage in the face of challenges, highlighting his commitment to promoting peace, harmony, and stability not only in Rivers State but also beyond its borders.

His dedication to improving the lives of Rivers people has earned him this well-deserved recognition.”

Acknowledging the importance of peace in driving economic prosperity, the CEO urged Governor Fubara to stay focused on his goals and ignore distractions. The award was presented as a higher calling for the governor to deepen his commitment to peacebuilding not only in Nigeria but also across Africa and the world.
