On Wednesday, the Supreme Court denied an appeal filed by the Social Democratic Party and Umar Ardo, the party’s nominee for governor of Adamawa.
This happened after the candidate’s attorney begged the court to drop the lawsuit.
The appeal was later denied by the five-person panel chaired by John Okoro.

Ardo’s petition contesting Ahmadu Fintiri‘s victory had been rejected by the tribunal and the Court of Appeal in Abuja.
Now, the All Progressives Congress and its candidate, Aishatu Dahiru, have filed an appeal in Fintiri requesting to be named the state’s governor.
