Fire has reportedly gutted a popular 10-storey Mandilas Building, on Broad Street, Lagos Island Local Government Area of Lagos State.
The Director, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Margaret Adeseye, confirmed the incident on Sunday.
The fire, which cause was yet to be identified, rocked the popular Mandilas building in the area starting from the first floor of the building and has escalated to the fourth floor.
Adeseye disclosed that firefighters and other relevant agencies are on the ground to put out the Mandilas fire.
She added that emergency responders from the Ebute Elefun and Sari Iganmu Fire Stations are currently at the scene to curb further escalation and put the situation under control.
Adeseye, in a statement, explained that the fire service received a call by 13:15hours that a 10-storey building warehouse in Mandilas was on fire.
She however, noted that the cause of the fire was still unknown, adding that there were no casualty.
