The body of a yet-to-be identified young woman was discovered on Sunday in a refuse dump in Makurdi, the Benue State Capital.
The victim’s body was discovered at Nyima Hudco quarters by worshippers heading to church.
The unknown killers had tied the corpse and put the body in a sack before dumping it at a refuse dump around Iorapuu Adai Street, Nyima Hudco Quarters, Makurdi.
Nigerian activist, Ukan Kurugh, who shared photos of the victim, had alerted the police about the incident.

“THE POLICE IS NEEDED HERE NOW. I just got a sad report now that a young woman has been found killed, tied put in a sack and throw at a refuse dump around Iorapuu Adai street nyima hudco quarters. The attention of the security is immediately called to action here, over this evil act”, he wrote.
Meanwhile, the police in Benue has launched investigation into the incident.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Sewuese Anene said: “We have already opened investigation into the matter.
“The identity of the victim is still unknown”.
She assured the public that the command would do everything to unravel the circumstances surrounding her death.
