The National Chairman of the Labour Party, LP, Julius Abure has been released on bail by the Police.
His bail on Wednesday night was consequent upon intervention by members of the party.
Abure was arrested in Benin, in the early hours of Wednesday by the operatives of the Zone 5 Command, alongside the state chairman of the party in Edo state, Mr Kelly Ogbaloi.
Spokesperson for the Police, Tijani Momoh had earlier said Abure with three other individuals were arrested for a petition by the party’s Youth Leader, Comrade Eragbe Anselum, accusing him of attempted murder and conspiracy to commit dangerous harm.
