Workers in Ebonyi State protested against the high cost of living, led by the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, chairman in Ebonyi, Ọgụgụa Egwu.
They marched around major streets and roads in Abakaliki, gathering at the Pa Ngele Ọruta stadium. Egwu highlighted that workers are greatly affected by the tough situation.

He emphasized that Nigerians are suffering despite trying to cope with daily hardships. The protesters aimed to show the world their pain and suffering, especially from hunger and starvation. They expressed their grievances peacefully and called for attention to their plight.
