Vehicular movements were almost at a standstill today along Karu, Nyanya axis as road users were stocked up in a heavy traffic.
The heavy traffic jam which started during the early hours of Wednesday, now stretching into midday, from reports gathered was caused by an ongoing stop and search operation by men of the Nigerian army.
A car owner, Jimoh Habib in a chat with Credible News said, “ I have been here for more than two hours, yet the headway out of this traffic.”

A pregnant woman, Mrs Virginia Igwe who revealed that she was supposed to go for a hospital appointment in town, noted that she may have to go back home because she was already tired and stressed.
Mr. Philip Audu, a civil servant equally expressed frustration over the lingering situation. He regretted using the road at time, as according to him, he would have stayed back at home.
A commuter, Joyce Joel blamed the officers for conducting such an operation at such time when workers trying to get to work early.
Credible News reports that commuters vehicles in their numbers were seen packed up along the roads, trying to navigate their way through the traffic.
