Emmanuel Macron seemed to jest with Kylian Mbappe about his rumored transfer to Real Madrid, inviting the PSG superstar to a state dinner.
Mbappe recently met with French President Macron and the Emir of Qatar at the Elysee Palace. He was invited to a state dinner, where Macron seemed to jest with Mbappe upon his arrival. According to RMC Sport, Macron jokingly said to Mbappe, “You’re going to create problems for us.” It’s believed Macron’s comment referred to Mbappe’s anticipated summer move to Real Madrid from Paris Saint-Germain, which is owned by Qatar.

Mbappe’s potential move to Madrid has been a topic of speculation for a while. Macron has been involved in discussions about Mbappe’s future before. In 2021, Macron advised Mbappe to stay in Paris rather than move to Real Madrid.
Last summer, Macron expressed his desire to keep Mbappe at PSG. However, it appears that Mbappe is now set for a summer transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu, despite Macron’s efforts to persuade him otherwise.

EMMANUEL MACRON’S RESPONSE
Macron also reflected on the 2022 Qatar World Cup, where France reached the final but lost to Argentina. He mentioned the memorable moments, including Mbappe’s remarkable performance and Randal Kolo Muani’s saved shot, which left a bitter feeling among French fans. Macron praised the tournament as fantastic, highlighting the spectacular final, and acknowledged France’s presence with its supporters, security forces, companies like RATP, and footballers.
Madrid has not officially announced Mbappe’s signing yet, but it’s anticipated to happen once they confirm they won’t face PSG in this season’s Champions League. Mbappe is expected to receive a world-record signing fee as he moves to the Spanish giants on a five-year contract. Meanwhile, PSG is searching for a replacement and has been linked with several players, including Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford.
