Justice Tanze Benjamin Makama, a recently appointed judge of the Nasarawa State High Court of Justice, has passed away.
Makama succumbed to a brief illness on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. He had been appointed to the judicial post on December 29, 2023.
The news of his death has elicited condolences from the Keffi branch of the Nigerian Bar Association.
In a statement issued by its Chairman, Nuhu J. Egya, the NBA described Justice Makama’s demise as an irreparable loss.

The association extended its condolences to the family of the deceased and prayed for the fortitude to bear the loss.
They also expressed condolences to the Chief Judge of Nasarawa State, Justice Aisha Bashir-Aliyu, and the entire judiciary, describing Justice Makama’s death as untimely.
