South African music star Tyla has canceled her highly anticipated debut world tour just two weeks before it was scheduled to begin, citing an injury.
“I’ve been quietly dealing with an injury for the past year, and sadly, it’s gotten worse,” she wrote on Instagram on Thursday, without saying what kind of injury it is.
“I’ve visited doctors and specialists hoping for improvement, but the pain has only gotten worse, and the situation has become more serious,” she continued.

Tyla, who recently won a Grammy for her popular song “Water,” was supposed to start her tour on March 21 in Oslo, Norway.
Due to the injury, she had to cancel her scheduled performance at the Coachella music festival in April, according to reports from US media.
She mentioned that people who purchased tickets for her concerts in North America will receive refunds, and she plans to reschedule her tour dates in the UK and Europe.
