Bayern Munich may consider bringing back Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee during the summer, according to reports from Calciomercato, amid interest from AC Milan and Arsenal.
AC Milan has prioritized signing the 22-year-old Zirkzee in the upcoming transfer window. However, they might encounter a hurdle from Zirkzee’s previous club. Zirkzee began his professional career in Munich before moving to Bologna in 2022. Reports suggest that there is a €40 million clause in his contract allowing the German giants to re-sign him.
Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, have expressed interest in Zirkzee. However, a fee of €60 million would be necessary for any club except Bayern Munich.

If Milan cannot secure Zirkzee, they are considering alternative options. Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyökeres, 25, has garnered attention with 32 goals and 11 assists since joining from Coventry City. His release clause of €100 million is challenging for Milan but not impossible to negotiate.

Another option is RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko, 20, who is favored by Milan’s management. While there haven’t been any formal discussions with Leipzig, Sesko is viewed as the most feasible alternative if Zirkzee cannot be signed, as he remains Milan’s top choice.
