Actress Rita Dominic has revealed how she was banned by Nollywood marketers for attempting to innovate and do things differently.
She shared her experience of being banned from the movie industry during an interview with Ghana’s Joy997fm. According to her, a group of influential marketers, considered mini-gods in the Nollywood movie industry, played a role in banning her from the business before she became a producer and formed her own company.
She explained that she faced a silent ban from Nollywood because she was trying to bring about change.

She claimed that, the influential marketers, considered as mini-gods in Nollywood, banned her because she advocated for a different approach in the industry. She emphasized the importance of communicating with actors’ management when seeking their services, rather than going through the marketers directly.
