Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State disburses N255,650,000 in cash and 5,513 bags of 50kg rice to members of the Civilian Joint Task Force, CJTF and hunters collaborating with security forces against Boko Haram insurgents.
The distribution took place at the Multipurpose Hall of the Government House in Maiduguri on Wednesday.
Approximately 5,523 CJTF members and hunters operating within Maiduguri and Jere, including both government employees and volunteers, received assistance. Government-employed individuals each received a bag of 50kg rice and N50,000 cash, while volunteers received a bag of 50kg rice and N30,000 cash.

Governor Zulum commended the volunteers for their ongoing sacrifices in the pursuit of peace restoration in the state.
He said: “I want to appreciate your efforts in complementing the military and other security forces to restore peace in the state. I assure you that your welfare is a top priority for me.”
The Secretary witnessed the occasion to the State Government, Hon. Bukar Tijjani, the Head of Service, Barrister Mallam Fannami, and the Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, Prof. Usman Tar.
