Erdogan’s agenda is expected to include a meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden, according to a presidential official . This meeting would mark the first official encounter between Erdogan and Biden in Washington since Biden’s election in 2020.

The planned visit follows U.S. approval for the sale of 40 F-16 fighter jets to Turkey, a decision that came after Ankara ratified Sweden’s accession to NATO.
