In a positive twist of event, Nollywood actor Junior Pope Odonwodo who was earlier reported dead has been declared alive by a mortuary attendant.
Abubakar Yakubu, the national secretary of the Actors Guild of Nigeria said the star is currently in the hospital receiving treatment.
A video circulating online showed the actor sitting weak on the floor as people try to resuscitate him.
An X user, Zamani in a post said, “Junior Pope is not dead yet, the mortuary attendant said there’s still life in his body.”

Another user, Chude Nnamdi wrote: “Junior Pope was revived, he is alive!”
The actor was reported dead during a boat trip.
A source disclosed that the boat capsized and him alongside two others yet to be identified actors got drown.
The news of the actor’s death has earlier set the Internet agog as both fans and colleagues were thrown into mourning, expressing shock and disbelief over the incident.
