In a sad reality, actor Junior Pope Odonwodo has tragically succumbed to his battle for survival, leaving fans and colleagues mourning his untimely passing.
The Nollywood star who was declared alive by a mortuary attendant and was said to be receiving treatment at a hospital in Delta State however couldn’t cheat death to sustain his survival.
Videos of him lying lifeless on the bed has circulated the online space with fans pouring RIP while still grappling with the reality of the actor’s demise.

The National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, who finally confirmed the death of Nollywood actor, declared Thursday as “No Shoot Day” for all Nollywood filmmakers.
The move is to honour Pope who along with three crew members died in a boat mishap on Anam River in Anambra on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Credible News gathered that social media users have also raised eyebrows, questioning the circumstance of his death.
They opined that the deceased death could have been avoidable if First Aid was administered to him immediately he he was recovered from the river.
An X user, @ Jaypee wrote: “How can a person drown, and the first thing people do is to take him to the mortuary and then a shrine?
“No CPR,no emergency service nor first aid.This is a foolish act,we should wisen up in this country, Assuming the proper things were done,he won’t have died. My condolences are with the wife and kids.”
Another user, @Mr. T.Ceey who queried the producer of the movie for which the deceased actor tragically lost his life while filming, called for a legal action against the producer for failing to get safety tools on set.
“The families of Junior Pope and the other missing crew members should begin LEGAL ACTIONS against the producer ADANMA LUKE, for taking people across River Niger without providing life jacket & other safety measures.
“This is pure MANSLAUGHTER,” he wrote.
The deceased has featured in over 100 movies which include Secret Adventures, Mad sex, Bitter Generation, Vengeance of Bullet, etc.
In 2010 he won the award for Nollywood Most Promising Actor in Nigeria at the Entertainment Factory Awards.
The 39-year-old actor leaves behind his wife and three children.
