Policemen were deployed in Abuja Saturday after soldiers clashed with traders at the sprawling Banex Shopping Plaza in Abuja.
It was earlier reported that traders at the plaza attacked at least three soldiers after an argument over a faulty mobile device.
In a viral video on social media, thugs broke into groups and descended on the soldiers in uniform.
Some traders had closed for the day and fled home to avoid being caught up in a reprisal attack.

However, hours after the assault, armed soldiers invaded the market chasing people in different directions.
In a video clip of the incident, a voice was heard screaming, “this is World War 2.”
It was unclear if there were any casualties as at the tor of filing this report.
The police had earlier deployed its men to the area to prevent a breakdown of law and order.
