Sheikh Aminu Hassan, the Director, Da’awah, Kebbi Pilgrims Welfare Board has cautioned pilgrims against selling their uniforms to illegal aliens in Saudi Arabia.

He disclosed this while addressing the pilgrims shortly after Subhi (dawn) prayer in Makkah, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Thursday.

The director observed that selling of the uniforms would amount to a grievous offense that would attract a serious penalty, warning that any pilgrim found guilty of such offense would be severely dealt with through the board’s disciplinary committee.

“You may be enticed with money by these illegal aliens to sell off your uniforms, especially women.
”But remember, they will use this uniforms to commit atrocities and such atrocities committed will be recorded against Nigeria and Kebbi in particular.

“Your uniform is a symbol of your country and a symbol of your state, therefore guard it against any form of embarrassment,” he pleaded.

The cleric admonished the pilgrims to be good ambassadors of Kebbi in particular and Nigeria at large by exhibiting high sense of discipline and respect for constituted authorities.

He encouraged the pilgrims to be patient with one another, as patience was key to a successful and acceptable Hajj, hence the need for them to accommodate, embrace and be their brothers’ keepers.

Malam Lukman Hamidu-Yauri, urged pilgrims remain prayerful to Nigeria especially in the lingering security challenges bedeviling the country.

The cleric said fervent prayers for the restoration of peace and tranquility were s very crucial to socio-economic development of Nigeria.

He also urged the pilgrims to pray for Gov. Nasir Idris for his efforts to ensure that the welfare of each pilgrim from the state was accorded special attention.

This, he said, could be visibly seen in the quality of food being served alongside other issues towards enhanced welfare of pilgrims.

“We need to pray for our governor, Kauran Gwandu, for Almighty Allah to give him the wisdom, strength and capacity to accomplish the good and transformational works he has started towards giving the state a complete new outlook.

“Therefore, our prayers are very vital to his success. We must do that individually and collectively for the good of our state,” he advised.

Hamidu-Yauri called on the pilgrims to be cautious of reckless spending and be vigilant while exchanging their basic transport allowance so as not to fall victims of fraudsters.
