President Bola Tinubu’ s father figure, Chief Bisi Akande is among hundreds of persons appointed as members of Governing Councils and Boards of federal universities, polytechnics and colleges of education.
Chief Akande, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress will chair the board of the nation’s premier university, University of Ibadan.
The Permanent Secretary, General Services, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Nnamdi Mbaeri, in a statement Friday disclosed that the approval was given for the effective management of Nigerian tertiary institutions across the country.
