The President and General Overseer of Christ Embassy, also known as Loveworld Nation, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has described the recent fire outbreak at his Lagos church as an unsurprising event, viewing it instead as an opportunity for growth and improvement.
The pastor who disclosed this while addressing his congregation on Sunday shortly after the fire incident, maintained that the church would come up with a better structure in no time.
He said: “I am not surprised one bit, because this is just a reminder that we are not of this world.
“Everyday God protects us from evil, there’s so much evil coming to us that we didn’t even know of, but He (God) protects us from all those evils.
“So, when something like this happens, praise God just the same way you would if something good and miraculous had happened.”
Pastor Chris also disclosed that the incident presented an opportunity to construct a better and more beautiful structure, as according to him he had map out a design that would have required him to pull down the church.

“You know I had actually drawn a structure that would require me to remove the roof of the building. But now that this has happened, I am going to build what I had plan.
“Let the devil lick his wounds,” he said.
He urged his church members not probe further in getting to know the cause of the incident.
Credible News had earlier reported that the auditorium of the Christ Embassy Church headquarters in Oregun, Lagos, reportedly caught fire on Sunday morning.
This was disclosed in multiple videos from the scene shared on X.com on Sunday.
Officials of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service are also said to be at the scene in efforts to salvage the situation.
