President Bola Tinubu’s Aide-de-camp, ADC, Lt. Col. Nurudeen Yusuf has been named the new king of Ilemona Town in Kwara State.

It is anticipated that in his new capacity as Ilemona Town’s king, he will use his skills and leadership to promote growth and harmony within the town.

The incoming king will take charge of Ilemona Town’s customs and administrative matters, carrying on the heritage of his forebears and promoting the town’s prosperity in the process.

Yusuf is the son of the late monarch, Oba Yusuf Omokanye Oyekanmi, the former Elemona of Ilemona in the Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State.

Yusuf has an Ordinary National Diploma in Computer Science from Offa Polytechnic, which he obtained in 2000.

He continued his military education in 2007 by attending the Young Officer’s Course Infantry at NASI in Kaduna, gaining skills in using various weapon systems and special operations.

Yusuf’s training continued with the Tactical Intelligence Officers and Security Investigations courses in 2008, enhancing his capabilities as a military officer.

He also attended the Officers Advanced Intelligence Course in Pakistan and the Advanced Command and Staff Course in the UK.

In addition to his military training, Yusuf earned a master’s degree in Defence Studies from King’s College London in 2018 and a postgraduate diploma in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution from the National Open University.

He recently completed a military course designed for Commanding Officers in Jaji, Kaduna, before his appointment as the ADC to President Tinubu.

Commissioned into the Officers Cadre from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 2005, Yusuf held various roles, including Military Assistant to the Chief of Training/Operations at Army Headquarters and Assistant Director of Intelligence/Security.

From 2020 to 2022, he served at the Nigerian Defence Section in Paris, France, before he was appointed Tinubu’s ADC.
