The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has confirmed the death of two people in an accident on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
The spokesperson of FRSC in Ogun, Mrs. Florence Okpe who confirmed the incident in a statement issued in Abeokuta on Monday noted that one person sustained injury in the accident.
Okpe explained that the incident occurred at 5:38a.m, and was caused by a road obstruction and fatigue.
The FRSC spokesperson said the accident involved a Mazda bus and a MAN diesel truck with registration number AJL 715 XA.

“The injured victim was taken to Hopeland Hospital, Warewa while the remains of the deceased were deposited at the morgue of Real Divine Hospital, Ibafo,” she said.
Okpe said that the Sector Commander, Akinwumi Fasakin, advised motorists to always be on alert while driving.
He also called on motorists to always have some rest to avoid fatigue while at the wheel.
