A man has injured seven people with a knife at a refugee centre in east Berlin, police confirmed this on Wednesday.
The incident occurred on Tuesday evening in Berlin’s Marzahn district. Among the victims was a 15-year-old, a security guard and a visitor at the centre.
Paramedics and emergency doctors treated the victims for cuts and stab wounds at the scene before taking them to hospital.

None of the victims sustained life-threatening injuries.
The suspected perpetrator, a 21-year-old Algerian, was also injured.
He is in custody and the motive for the attack remains unclear, a police spokeswoman said.
The injured security guard and the visitor are German citizens, while the other five injured are from Moldova.
