Nigerian born Ultimate Fighting Championship, UFC, star Israel Adesanya on Wednesday arrived in Lagos to a warm reception after his loss to Dricus Du Plessis on Saturday.
Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NiDCOM, on X (Twitter) disclosed that Adesanya was accompanied by his parents and were all received by the staff of the NiDCOM at the Murtala Mohammed Airport.

Sharing videos from Adesanya’s arrival NiDCOM wrote: “Earlier today, Nigerian born, New Zealand Professional Kickboxer, Israel Mobolaji Temitayo Odunayo Oluwafemi Owolabi Adesanya a.k.a stylebender arrived in Lagos today, accompanied by his parents and warmly received by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NiDCOM staff.”
Recall that Adesanya had succumbed to a fourth round submission loss to South Africa’s Dricus Du Plessis in their middleweight title showdown at UFC 305 in Perth on Saturday night.
