She added that the raid was carried out by operatives acting on directives from CP Waheed Ayilara, based on intelligence reports about nefarious activities in the area. The police also recovered two bags containing substances suspected to be Indian hemp, cocaine, and some cocktail concoctions during the operation.

John mentioned that an investigation is ongoing to apprehend other members of the syndicate who managed to flee during the raid. Meanwhile, CP Waheed Ayilara reassured the people of Akwa Ibom of the command’s unwavering commitment to ridding the state of criminal elements.

CP Waheed Ayilara urged them to always report any suspicious movement or suspicious persons to the nearest police station, as this will help the police cultivate and act on the information towards keeping the state safe and secure.
