A group of kidnappers have reportedly abducted four family members in the Federal Capital Territory.
The incident which occurred at the Tundun Fulani extension area of the Bwari Area Council happened around 1:30 am on Friday.
A resident of the area who spoke on condition of anonymity stated that the kidnappers forced their way into the family’s home to abduct the victims.
The resident also said one other person who escaped being abducted was shot by the kidnappers.
The source said: “There was a kidnap incident in Tundun Fulani extension in Bwari around 1:30 am. The kidnappers were many and fully armed.
The kidnappers broke into a house and kidnapped four members of the same family. They also shot one person who escaped being kidnapped.“

When contacted, the FCT command police spokesperson, Josephine Adeh said the police were on top of the matter.
She said: “We responded swiftly. We are on top of the situation.”
There have been cases of kidnapping in the Bwari area of the FCT in recent times.
Thirteen persons were kidnapped from Piko, a remote community in Bwari Area Council of Abuja, by suspected gunmen during an invasion of the community on May 8.
In July, a resident of El-Rufai Estate in the Bwari Area of the FCT, identified as Nathaniel, was shot by kidnappers after an attempt to kidnap him was foiled.
The kidnappers had attempted to abduct many of the residents before their operation was thwarted by the operatives of the FCT police command in collaboration with troops.
