The Tai Solarin University of Education, TASUED, has taken decisive action against academic and behavioral misconduct, rusticating 31 students and suspending 47 others indefinitely.

This decision, made during the university’s senate meeting on July 31, 2024, underscores TASUED’s commitment to maintaining academic integrity and discipline. The university’s Public Relations Office, disclosed that Ojo Michael, a 200 level Computer Science student, was rusticated for the entire 2023/2024 academic session after being found guilty of forging his CGPA to contest in the Student Union elections. Other students faced rustication for offenses including examination malpractice, threats to life and fraudulent activities.

The 47 suspended students were penalized for various misconducts, such as impersonation. The university’s management has warned that any further breaches of conduct will be met with severe consequences, urging the affected students to stay off campus to avoid confrontations with security personnel.

This crackdown highlights TASUED’s zero-tolerance approach to misconduct, reinforcing the institution’s dedication to fostering a disciplined and honorable academic environment.
