As the Nigerian national football team, the Super Eagles, arrived in Kigali on Sunday, Coach Augustine Eguavoen expressed confidence in the team’s momentum following their convincing 3-0 victory over Benin Republic in their opening 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match.
Eguavoen emphasized that the team is eager to maintain their winning streak when they face Rwanda on Tuesday at the Amahoro Stadium.The Super Eagles, led by team captain William Troost-Ekong, are determined to secure three points against Rwanda, who drew 1-1 with Libya in their first match. Eguavoen highlighted the positive mood in the camp and the team’s readiness to tackle the upcoming challenge with full focus and determination.

The Nigerian delegation, which includes 23 players and various officials, arrived at the Kigali International Airport on Sunday, ensuring ample time for rest and preparation before the match.
