Security men in Libya have arrested four Nigerian nationals in two separate incidents.
In Bani Walid, a known transit hub for migrants attempting to cross into Europe, two Nigerians were detained after testing positive for infectious diseases during a routine health screening.
The Directorate for Combating Illegal Migration transferred the pair to Tripoli for further processing and eventual repatriation to Nigeria.
In Sabha, the Criminal Investigation Department raided the premises of two Nigerian drug traffickers. During the raid, authorities seized 1,200 hallucinogenic pills and other illicit substances. The suspects were handed over to the Sabha Security Directorate for further investigation.

The Migrant Rescue Watch, an advocacy group, confirmed both incidents in a statement on Monday, highlighting the ongoing efforts to combat illegal migration and trafficking in the region.
Migrant Rescue Watch’s statement read, “DCIM Bureau in Bani Walid transferred two Nigerian #migrants (female and male) who tested positive for infectious diseases to Tripoli for repatriation.”
Bani Walid, located south of Tripoli, is known as a transit hub for migrants attempting to cross into Europe. The Libyan authorities have intensified efforts to crack down on illegal activities and enforce public health measures within the country.
