Nigerian born British boxer Anthony Joshua has disclosed that his main goal for 2025 is to defeat Tyson Fury and claim the title of three time world heavyweight champion.

After his visit to President Bola Tinubu in Lagos,  Anthony Joshua shared his future aspirations, including his plans to overcome Tyson Fury.

“We’ll see. Let’s get in the ring. Only God knows, but for me, we’ll see in the future,” he stated when asked about his upcoming bout with Fury.

Joshua, who remains hungry for success, expressed his commitment to working harder to achieve his target, emphasizing the importance of time in his career.

“Time is of the essence, time is limited. So, I just want to put in more work,” he said. Reflecting on his journey, he added, “In 2024, when I look back, I believe I could have done more, and I have another chance in 2025 to do more. I’m going to make sure that I take every opportunity that comes my way.”

Despite setbacks, including a recent loss to Daniel Dubois at Wembley on September 23, 2024, Joshua remains optimistic about his future. “The chances of becoming a three-time world heavyweight champion are still there,” he asserted.

Acknowledging the ups and downs of his career, Joshua said, “I’m going to go again. Ups and downs, they happen. To some people, it is always up. My life is up and down, so I’ve got to get used to the turbulent times and keep riding the wave. I can’t stop now; I have to keep going until I reach my destination.”

Reflecting on his visit to President Tinubu, Joshua expressed gratitude for the warm welcome.

“I got to meet His Excellency. They did an amazing job at hosting me and my family today. I got to see how the country is organised and run, and I have big plans for the future,” he said.
