Ondo State Governor, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, announced three days of mourning in honor of the late former Secretary to the State Government, Tayo Oluwatuyi,.
The deceased, known by the nickname Tukana, passed away on Saturday at an undisclosed hospital just days after a motor accident along the Ife-Ibadan Expressway.
Aiyedatiwa made the announcement while leading members of the state executive council on a condolence visit to the family of the late SSG in Akure, the state capital.
The Governor praised Oluwatuyi for his significant contributions to the state, describing him as a key figure in Ondo State’s politics and governance.
Aiyedatiwa stated that the history of the state would remain incomplete without mentioning the late SSG’s impact.
In the condolence register, Governor Aiyedatiwa wrote, “Hon Tayo Oluwatuyi, you came, you lived, you performed your God-given tasks, and you impacted lives.

You have left us at an unexpected time, but God has called you home. May you rest in the bosom of your Creator. Amen.”
Aiyedatiwa also offered prayers for the repose of Oluwatuyi’s soul and assured the family of the state government’s support during this difficult period.
In addition, President Bola Tinubu and various state governors have expressed their condolences over the passing of the late SSG.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu extended his sympathy, describing the late chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, in Ondo State as a dedicated servant of the people.
The President commended Oluwatuyi for his significant role in the state’s governance, particularly in policy coordination and implementation, which contributed to Ondo’s progress.
