This year, the programme prioritizes businesses focusing on Artificial Intelligence, AI, and sustainable initiatives, underscoring Tony Elumelu Foundation’s dedication to promoting innovation and environmental consciousness in Africa.

“We are excited to announce the opening of applications for our 2025 Entrepreneurship Programmes,” said Moyosore Awotile, TEF’s Head of Communications.

“As we continue to empower African entrepreneurs, we remain committed to our mission of driving poverty eradication, job creation, and economic transformation across the continent.”

The Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Programme welcomes African entrepreneurs with groundbreaking business concepts or existing businesses that are no more than five years old. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

Alongside its flagship programme, TEF also offers the IYBA-WE4A Entrepreneurship Programme, designed specifically for women entrepreneurs working on green business ideas or operating eco-friendly businesses in selected African countries.

The Aguka Ideation Programme, a collaborative initiative with UNDP Rwanda and the Rwandan Ministry of Youths and Arts, is tailored for young entrepreneurs in Rwanda who have innovative business ideas.

Applications for the 2025 Entrepreneurship Programmes are open until March 1, 2025. Interested individuals can apply through TEF’s exclusive online platform, TEFConnect.
