The Nigeria Police Force has arrested an officer who appeared in a viral video alongside Wahab and Raheem, sons of billionaire businessman Chief Razaq Okoya, engaging in the abuse of naira.
This information was shared by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on his X handle on Friday.
He stated that the incident depicted in the video involving the police officer was both unethical and against the force’s core values, noting that disciplinary measures are being taken to address the misconduct.

Adejobi posted, “The policeman captured in the recent viral video shared by the sons of the Lagos businessman, Chief Okoya, where they were abusing the naira, has been identified and detained for disciplinary action.
“The involvement of the policeman has been condemned, as it’s unethical. We will always strive hard to uphold the sanctity, credibility, and core values of the police. Thanks.”
It is important to recall that last week, the video showing the two Okoya sons mishandling naira sparked widespread backlash, with many believing that due to their father’s high social status, no serious consequences would follow.
In the footage, Wahab and Raheem Okoya, dressed in white agbada attire, are seen showing off stacks of new N1000 notes to promote Raheem’s new song, “Credit Alert.”
As the video progresses, it shows the mobile policeman holding several bundles of N1000 notes, while the billionaire’s sons dance and throw the money into the air.
