American pop star, Beyoncé has donated $2.5 million through her BeyGood Foundation to support families affected by the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.
The funds will go towards BeyGood’s L.A. Fire Relief Fund, aimed at helping those in the Altadena/Pasadena area and supporting local churches and community centers.
“Los Angeles, we stand with you,” a statement on BeyGood’s page read. “The fund is specifically for families who have lost their homes, as well as for churches and community centers aiding those affected.”
The wildfires, which began on January 7, have been fueled by powerful winds, leading to widespread destruction across the city. At least 24 lives have been claimed, and thousands of properties have been destroyed.
The tragedy has prompted a wave of solidarity, with several celebrities stepping forward to offer support.

Beyoncé’s own family has not been immune to the disaster. On Friday, her mother, Tina Knowles, shared that her Malibu bungalow had been destroyed in the fires.
In an emotional Instagram post, Tina reflected on the loss: “This was my view last weekend on my birthday, from my tiny little bungalow on the water in Malibu. It was my sanctuary, my happy place. Now it’s gone.”
She expressed deep gratitude for the first responders, adding, “This could have been much worse without their dedication. I’m heartbroken for the families who lost loved ones—my deepest prayers are with you.”
Tina also extended her sympathies to those who lost their homes, saying, “To those who’ve lost everything they worked so hard for, my heart and prayers are with you.”
