The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC, has completed the transfer of regulatory oversight to Enugu, Ekiti, Ondo and Imo states.
This transition, announced via NERC’s X handle on Monday, means that these states are now fully responsible for overseeing their electricity markets.
Currently, there are 11 electricity distribution companies, Abuja, Benin, Enugu, Eko, Ibadan, Ikeja, Kaduna, Kano, Jos, Port Harcourt, and Yola along with a 12th, Aba Power Electric.
