Miss Faith Aduragbemi Olabisi, an 18-year-old student from the Department of Accounting ,University of Ilorin UNILORIN, has achieved the remarkable feat of qualifying as a chartered accountant.
She was among the successful candidates in the November 2024 professional examinations of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, ICAN.
In an interview with UNILORIN Bulletin, Miss Olabisi shared that becoming a chartered accountant had always been her dream, and she worked hard to achieve this goal at a young age.
She expressed her deep gratitude to her lecturers and mother for the invaluable support and motivation that helped her reach this milestone.
Dr. Segun Abogun, the Acting Head of the Department of Accounting, praised Miss Olabisi’s achievement as “outstanding.”
He noted that she was among several students from the department who successfully passed the ICAN professional examinations last year.
Dr. Abogun encouraged Miss Olabisi and her peers to continue setting an example for others, with the goal of producing even more chartered accountants before their graduation.
The Vice Chancellor of UNILORIN, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, expressed pride in Miss Olabisi’s accomplishment.
