Popular Ilorin-born musician, Mukaila Senwele, has reportedly passed away.
Multiple sources confirm that the singer died on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Balogun Hospital in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State.
Reports indicate that Mukaila was initially taken to the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital, Annex.
However, due to the severity of his condition, he was later transferred to Balogun Hospital in Eruda for further treatment.
Family members have stated that Mukaila showed no signs of illness prior to his death.
“He was with his fans throughout the day and had promised to visit the family house (Ile Esinrogunjo) later in the night,” one relative shared.
A family source, who requested anonymity, explained that they received an emergency call about his sudden death while he was with his fans.
“We rushed to the location, but despite efforts by my elder brother and others to get him to the hospital, we unfortunately lost Mukaila to the cold hands of death,” the family member said. His Janazah is scheduled for Saturday morning.
Mukaila Senwele, from the Esinrogunjo family compound in Ilorin West Local Government Area, was widely admired for his unique style of entertainment and musical talent.
He was a beloved figure in the local social scene, known for his exceptional performances.
