Priscilla Ojo, daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, recently tied the knot with Tanzanian singer Juma Jux in a grand Islamic wedding ceremony attended by high-profile guests.

However, as videos from the celebration surfaced online, social media users quickly noticed the absence of Priscilla’s father, leading to widespread speculation and debate.

Amid the growing chatter, Priscilla took to Snapchat to address the rumors in her own way. She shared a screenshot of a WhatsApp video call with her father, captioned, “Daddy yo ❤️.” The post, reshared by popular gossip blogger Gist Lover, appeared to dismiss claims that her father was excluded from the occasion.

Priscilla’s response sparked fresh conversations, with some defending her right to privacy and others questioning the father’s absence. Social media users shared their opinions, with comments ranging from support to criticism.

Fasanya Florence wrote: “Dear daughter, you owe no bloody idiot any explanation. God and your mum are always by your side. Congratulations, dear.”

Adedoyin Ajani commented: “I pity men that abandon their children and responsibilities. An irresponsible father is a dead man.”

Felicia Atotuma added : “A father that has been absent from his children’s lives should stay absent during marriage ceremonies. Period!”

Meanwhile, Kelechi Promise questioned, “So why was the father not present at his daughter’s wedding? Even if he doesn’t want anything to do with Iyabo Ojo, he should have been there for his daughter. A video call doesn’t change anything.”

Despite Priscilla’s attempt to address the situation, conversations about her father’s absence continue to gain attraction online. While some believe the video call was enough, others argue that his physical presence was essential.

As the newlyweds celebrate their union, the discussions surrounding family dynamics and personal choices remain a trending topic on social media.
